I placed an order and need to cancel it — what do I do?
Contact the restaurant directly using the phone number on your order confirmation email. They can cancel and refund the order if it hasn't been prepared yet. TakeawayFriend cannot cancel orders on behalf of a restaurant — they handle their own orders directly.
My food hasn't arrived — who do I contact?
Contact the restaurant directly. Their phone number is on your order confirmation email. They will be able to track the order and contact the driver. If you can't reach them and need help escalating, email us at admin@takeawayfriend.co.uk.
I want a refund
Refunds are issued by the restaurant, not by TakeawayFriend. Contact the restaurant directly using the phone number on your order confirmation. They can issue full or partial refunds via Stripe directly to your card.
I'm a restaurant owner and the POS app isn't working
Try restarting the app and your tablet first. If that doesn't help, email us at admin@takeawayfriend.co.uk with your restaurant name and a description of what's happening. We'll respond as quickly as we can.
How do I sign up my restaurant?
Visit takeawayfriend.co.uk and fill in the contact form. We'll get in touch within 24 hours to set everything up. Setup typically takes a few days, including a visit from us to install your POS device.
How much does TakeawayFriend cost?
£49 per month plus a one-time setup fee. No commission on orders, no per-order fees. You keep 100% of every order. See our pricing page for full details.
How do I exercise my data rights?
You have rights under UK GDPR including the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these, email us at admin@takeawayfriend.co.uk. We will respond within one calendar month. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
I'm a customer — who is my data shared with?
When you place an order, your name, address, phone number, and order details are shared with the restaurant fulfilling your order. Your card payment is processed directly by Stripe. We do not sell your data to anyone. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
I want to leave a tip for my driver
If your delivery driver did a great job, you'll receive an email shortly after your order is completed with a link to leave a card tip. 100% of the tip goes directly to the driver — TakeawayFriend takes nothing. The link is valid for 7 days.
